The neighborhood is characterized by row houses and detached houses.
Simple measures are used to create new protected spaces, strengthen the identities of existing spaces, and support address formation. Partially covered walkways and service buildings provide scale, define boundaries, and zone spaces.
Examining the everyday nature of a 1960s housing estate as a living space leads to the formulation of simple design strategies that enable the open space to be used in a variety of ways.
Each ground floor apartment has a level garden in front of the house. The public green space curves between the elevated private garden and the covered access path, with the topography supporting the zoning.
