Our architectural concept is based on visualizing what we personally associate with Mozart: the cheerfulness and innovation of his music and the greatness of his legacy.
626 red steel columns, 6 meters high, form a musical landscape. They represent the 626 works in the Köchel catalog, with each column inscribed with a work.
This space is filled with sound from floor speakers and represents Mozart’s intellectual work. The simple design strategy of the red columns makes it easy to name in popular parlance. Closely connected to this is a spatial element that fulfills the functional requirements of the ticket center.
The “Calling Mozart” project, which is spread across 100 locations associated with Mozart throughout the city, repeats this concept. The design unity of the information center and these 100 information pillars creates a recognizable pattern of interventions throughout the urban space.
