“The modular, mobile school is a sustainable contribution to Vienna’s school system. Time and again, teaching activities have to be temporarily relocated due to renovation work, conversions, or similar reasons.”
A photovoltaic system on the roof provides the necessary energy. The mobile school building can not only be adapted to new requirements, but also expanded, for example by integrating a kitchen and a dining hall for all-day operation, as was implemented at the Franklinstraße location. In Floridsdorf, “Monti” will meet the demand for school places for at least five years.
Deputy Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr emphasizes that “Monti” is an example of the flexibility and innovative strength of the Viennese education system, which will continue to create alternative learning spaces in the future.
“Monti” thus not only helps to alleviate the demand for school places, but also represents a step toward more sustainable and future-oriented urban development.
“The ‘Monti’ is reusable, flexible, and can be quickly adapted to any location, making it a sustainable, resource-saving solution for temporary school space requirements in Vienna. And all this with the highest construction quality and a modern atmosphere.”
